Odry, Přírodní rezervace Oderské rybníky
The town of Odry lies in the Odra Basin in the Low Jesenik mountains. It stretches along both sides of the Odra River some kilometres from the river head. The Odra riverbed is adapted and, at the Optimit Semperflex, a.s., company facility, artificially built including 4 weirs. Through the town, a former mill-race, 6 km long, passes, which feeds water in the Odry area ponds (called Trněný, Travný, Emauzský, Vraženský and Cíp) with fish farms. Among small streams of a rather great importance which joint the Odra River within the town area, the Vítovka Brook and Gold Brook, jointing the river from the left, as well as the Mlýnský Brook and Stodolní Brook, jointing the river from the right, can be mentioned. On a wooded side of the Veselovský Hill, deserted galleries left after the former roofing clay-slate mining are situated. At the villages of Pohoř and Veselí, deserted mines left after the silver-ore (galenite) mining are situated.

Unbuilt and unwooded lands are cultivated and generally used as an arable land. The Tošovice Hill sides used to be pastures in the past. Hillsides surrounding the town are wooded with unoriginal forestry-purpose forests. At the eastern edge of the town, an orchard has been preserved. Odry can boast of its valuable greenery in the former castle park, in the park at the church school, in the cemetery, at the bus station, at the Pod Lesem housing estate, at the Odry ponds and in other places. In the former castle park, beautiful specimens of plane and oak trees grow. In front of the department store, a magnificent specimen of red-leaved common beech grows. Like the Vítovka water reservoir, the Odra River is also a sought-after fishing centre. Upstream, the river is a trout fishing area, while it is a "white water" area downstream. In the town surroundings, four hunting grounds have been established where roe-deer and boar are hunted in particular. In addition, little-game (hare, pheasant and partridge) numbers have gradually been restored. In the Odry ponds, both wild and breeding ducks live. The surrounding forests offer an opportunity to pick mushrooms and forest fruits. The town of Odry lies within the Oderské Vrchy (Odry Hills) Nature Preserve area. The town is a starting point of red-, blue- and green-marked tourist paths. In addition, the regional bike path No. 503 called "Odersko (the Odry Area)" passes through the town. In 2001, a 13-stop instructional path, called "Stříbrný Chodník (Silver Pathway)," leading on a side of the Pohoř Hill and around the Odry ponds was opened.
