The history of Raškovice [ History ]
The municipality belongs to the oldest ones in the Frýdek-Místek district. First documents about village date from 1305, when there was a saw mill Holzmul. Today's name Raškovice is first remarked around 1573 in the records of the Frýdek-Místek lordship in connection with the generic name of the first settler in the village. In the past years local land-holder Adámek established here a finishing mill and a bleeching ground. Local saw mill has been operating since 1928.
