OSTAFLEX - dispersive acrylate cement -
OSTAFLEX is a unary material of paste-like consistence containing binders on the basis of aqueous acrylate dispersion, fine fillers, pigments, dispersing agents and biocides, and modification additives.
Use: Cementing of joints and cracks in plasters and concrete, cementing of peripheral casing of built-up structures, cementing of cracks and joints, transmissions, inlets and splices of tinsmith products in roof structures. Indoors, OSTAFLEX is used for cementing joints between panels, around door and window frames, prefabricated partition walls, lower ceilings, etc.
Properties:
Density: 1.4 - 1.6 kg/m2
Mass dry substance: 72 - 80%
pH: 8.0 - 10
Volume dry substance: 60 - 68% OSTAFLEX holds very well with silicate backing, asphalt, galvanized sheet, it is highly weatherproof and it maintains its elasticity even at temperatures below zero. The material is not suitable for glass and aluminium.
Backing preparation: The backing must be properly cleaned from dust and other mechanical as well as greasy impurities. Absorbent backing should be impregnated with the priming coat PRIMER or with another impregnant designed for dispersive systems.
Procedure: The cement is usually applied on the backing by a metal palette knife or by a spray gun. When repairing a roof made of asphalt cardboard, we advise with larger cracks, splices and transmissions to put a grid-like wire netting into a layer of cement. The temperature during application must not drop below +10 °C, we do not advise to work with the cement outdoors during the season when the temperatures can drop below +5 °C during drying and hardening.
Shades: The cement is produced in a white or grey unnormalized shade.
Packaging and storage: Packed in plastic packages with the capacity of 1.2 kg, 4.5 kg and 15 kg. Storage in original packages at temperatures from +5 to +25°C at places protected against direct sunshine and sudden changes of temperature. The storage life is 12 months from the date of production.
Security and hygiene: OSTAFLEX is not harmful in the sense of valid regulations. When working, use protective aids and observe the personal hygiene principles. In bounded spaces provide aeration of the workplace. If eyes are hit, wash them out with a large amount of clean water and seek medical treatment.
Waste liquidation: Empty metal packages should be taken to a salvage collector, waste code: 150104. Plastic packages should be liquidated as other waste, waste code: 150102. Paint remainders and impure packages should be liquidated as dangerous waste, waste code: 080111.
