DENAPOL - impregnating and glazing varnish for wood -


DENAPOL is water-based impregnating and glazing priming varnish to be applied in both, interior and exterior. It is manufactured on the basis of acrylate dispersion, specially developed for impregnation of wood-based surfaces. It contains insecticidal and fungicidal additives ensuring sufficient protection against effects of wood-destroying insect and fungus.

Use: For prime impregnating coating of wood and other wood-based materials prior to DENATOP S acrylate enamel application, or for final treatment of these materials as transparent and colored treatment maintaining look of the wood. The product can also be used for impregnation of various building materials in order to decrease suction, staining rate, increase abrasion resistance and water proofness - e.g. of concrete, plasters, plaster materials, certain interior decorative surface treatment, stone facing.

The product features excellent penetration in silicate surfaces and in wood materials with a minimum tendency to lift wood fibers and excellent resistance to effects of water and weather.

Surface preparation: The surface needs to be dry, free of any mechanical or greasy impurities and old coating and rust residues, not cohesive to the surface.

Paint application: DENAPOL is to be applied on dry surface, free of any mechanical and greasy impurities, with a brush, roller, spraying or dipping in sufficient volume, so that it properly soaks into the surface. It is to be applied in one layer thinned with water in ratio of 1 : 1 as an impregnating material under DENATOP S acrylate enamel. As a glazing varnish, it is to be applied in two or more layers based on the surface suction, and in the supplied consistency, not to be thinned. After the first layer dries off, we recommend to regrind the surface in case of exacting applications The temperature of air and surface for the application and paint drying should not fall below + 10 °C.

Spreading rate: 0,05 - 0,15 kg per square meter per coating.

Packaging and storing: Packages with weight of 0,7- 30 kg. It is to be stored in original packages at the temperature ranging from +5 to +25 °C, minimum storage life of 12 months after the production date. The product must not freeze.

Safety and hygiene: DENAPOL does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. However, it can cause mucosa irritation to sensitive people and in case of more often contact with the skin, it could invoke adverse effects. Use personal protective equipment and follow the personal hygiene principles when working with the paint. When spraying the paint, use respiratory protection, ensure proper ventilation in closed working areas. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes properly with large volume of clean water and seek a medical treatment.
